To fix the problem, KTM is rolling out an immediate ECU EMS software update across all affected models. Dealers will install the new software version, which not only reduces the chance of stalling but also improves low‑end torque and overall engine stability.
Owners will start receiving official notices on January 23, 2026, and KTM has already locked affected bikes in dealer inventory until the update is applied. Riders who previously paid for ECU updates will be reimbursed, and KTM is advising owners not to ride their bikes until the fix is complete. Owners may contact KTM customer service at 1-888-985-6090. The manufacturer’s numbers for this recall are KTB2513 & HTB2508.
