I haven't posted here in awhile so I thought I would post my Westfest pics for you. West fest was held in Lake City Colorado this year and we had plenty of riding and a lot of booze.

Lots and lots of beer. Colorado is known for their brewerys and I was drinking all night long after the rides. Is there any beer for me at the UMag rally? How is the sight seeing at the rally(girls)? 

 

Does anyone have pictures of the past rallys?

It's not a rally, in fact it's an international biker's meeting, one of the best I know with a lot of "sight seeing" and also a lot of beer. It is placed in the regular auto camping site in the middle of the turist resort near the beach...very fancy!! It is organized by moto club "Staaari rokeri", which means The ooold rockers.

In the USA "International biker's meeting"  is indeed Bikers Rally, just like Daytona Rally which is international bikers gathering/meeting.

 

 

It's not a rally, in fact it's an international biker's meeting, one of the best I know with a lot of "sight seeing" and also a lot of beer. It is placed in the regular auto camping site in the middle of the turist resort near the beach...very fancy!! It is organized by moto club "Staaari rokeri", which means The ooold rockers.

Hey Dan, nice to hear from you. If you are talking about my accident in Death Vally I was riding again as soon as I got the (new to me)R1150GS. I will post photos here of my DV trip along with my wrecked bike so you can check it out. Are you going to be able to go to the UMag gathering. It will be nice to finally meet you and ride together.

I am leaving for Serbia tomorrow, however, the Umag gathering is in always in May, and as much as I would love to go I am not sure I can make it next year.  You should go, Adriatic coast is gorgeous and Italy is very very close, which means the Italian Alps are not that far either.  If you do plan a trip you can ship your bike to Munich, Germany and ride south thru Austria and Slovenia to Umag.  The history of that area is fascinating.  Or, you can just fly to either Italy or Slovenia or Croatia and just rent a car and go for a nice vacation in Umag and Istra (Region of Croatia Umag belongs to).

 

I just bough a new to me 1983 R100RS with 20K miles in mint condition.  My Aprilia was never as clean as this bike.  The best part is I bought it for 2 grand.  Pictures are here: http://www.bjbikers.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=53&topic=22401.0

 

It needs new tires and fluid change, maybe valve adjustment just to be sure.

Wow R100 with only 20,000; how did you manage to find that? I would love to ship my bike; do you know of a shipping co and how much it might cost. I have a friend in Banja Luka that I am staying with that has offered me a bike for UMag but I would really love to be riding my own.

What is the rail system like in Bosnia and Croatia? This will be our first trip to Europe so any help would be greatly appriciated.

 

Are you going to see our Serbian friends while you are there? If so let them know I am coming and maybe get some contact information for me. I hope you have fun and have safe travels my friend.

Heineken, Tuborg, Efes, Holsten, Becks, all brewed in Serbia, cheap and cool  ;D

 

You should come and visit Belgrade, maybe moto rally organized by MC Familija (Family) or just visit Belgrade anytime. You won't regret  ;D ;D ;D

I will se the Serbian World Team for sure, they promissed me some entertainment if you knw what I mean  , and don't worry, I will klet them know that you are coming, however, I would need to know when.

 

As far as shipment to Munich I believe it is about $1500 from NYC, it shouldn't be that much more from AZ.  You other option is to buy a bike in Germany and ride thru Europe and sell it back to the dealer upon your return.  It is alsmot as rent-a bike, keep in mind BMWs are expensive in Europe.  You will have to arrange this in advance. 

Let me know when are you going and something could be arranged.
