Prijavi odgovor kao problematičan Here are a few pictures of my trip to Creel and Batopillas Mexico. Getting ready to leave for Mexico. Here is a nice family I met on the way. You will notice the girls with my Ipod jamming out to Led Zeppllin. Everywhere we went we found the Mexican people to be hard working and very friendly. Here they are loading up the horses after a long day. Mexican taxi cab anyone!!! Ziveli!!! with a few friends. This bike was all the way from the United Kingdom and was ridden by a woman through Africa and up through South America. and here she is looking a little ragged. I promise it's a woman. Here is the start of the Copper Canyon which takes you from 7500' to 100' in twenty miles. Don't get to close to the edge because you don't want to fall off several of the 1000+ sheer cliffs. You also have to watch out for the local wildlife. What can I say other than spectacular!!! Can you say switch backs!! Here is a drug lord's home at the bottom of the canyon (or maybe a hotel). Here is the hotel we stayed at; it had gated motorcycle parking which was nice. This is a nice little restuarant. You had to make a reservation and once you were there they would lock the door and serve only your group. It was inside of a local familys home. I love the local art work. The cobble stone streets were pretty cool. Me and mi amigos. We seem to always be drinking. That is it for now. let me know if you want more and I will keep adding to this report. Ziveli !!!! Prijavi odgovor kao problematičan Just to give you an idea of area of Mexico I was in; the copper canyon is huge. The area consists of 6 different canyons and portions of it are deeper that the Grand Canyon in the U.S. I stayed in Creel which is at 8000’ and traveled to the bottom of the canyon to Batopilas which is at 1000’. All throughout the canyon system live the Tarahumara Indians. One cannot take a photo of the male Tarahumara because they believe it steals their soul. At the end of the road you come to the Satevo Mission (lost Cathedral). All the records for this Cathedral were lost but it dates back to the 17th century. Here are some more photos for you to enjoy. Veiw of the Cathedral from afar. Closer. Here I am holding my "Arrogant Bastard beer" which was later stolen by the Indians when I put it down to go in side (I hope they enjoyed it). The following pictures are from the inside of the church. I am not a religious person but I am very Spiritual and let me tell you I could really feel the warmth and the glow from the people of the church that have long since passed away. This was a very Spiritual place to visit and I can't wait to go back. Citat Podeli ovaj odgovor sa prijateljima

Prijavi odgovor kao problematičan After leaving the Setevo Cathdral we had to stop for a littol petrol. More of the friendly wildlife. Here are a few shots of the different bikes at our base camp. Here is a little of the local entertainment; I love Flamenco guitar. Here Is the girls that were feeding everyone. The food was terrific and the service was great. Here are the daughters of Francisco who is the owner of the place we stayed at. Unfortunately Yolanda died in a car accident the month after I left (RIP). Kawaski and BMW are favorite motorcycles in America aren't? I'm so sorry for Yolanda ...... I think Harley is the majority bike over here but for people who know how to ride correct I would say BMW or KTM. KLR are for people on a budget like me. ;D Yeah I was really upset when I heard about Yolanda. Even though I only knew her and her family a little more than a week; I became very close and attached to them. I am going down to Creel in October to say hi to Francisco and to offer my condolences. Maybe when you come out we can head down to Creel together. In my opinion it is the best on and off-road riding in North America.
