Nedelju dana posle runde u Imoli, gde se Max Biaggi krunisao svojom prvom World Superbikes titulom, na Francuskoj stazi Magny-Cuors se vozi finalna runda sezone 2010. Iako je šampion Superbike klase poznat, runda u Francuskoj će sigurno obilovati uzbuđenjima jer je još dosta toga ostalo nerešeno. U Superbiku treba da se reši pitanje konstruktora iako je skoro izvesno da će je uzeti Aprilia, kao i pozicija u generalnom plasmanu vozača. Pored toga, ostaje još par nerazjašnjih pitanja kada je u pitanju angažman vozača za sledeću sezonu. Supersport, koji nam je ove sezone dao toliko uzbuđenja, ulazi u svoj finiš i još uvek je neizvesno ko će biti šampion. Od dvojice konkurenata za šampoiona, Kenan Sofuoglu (Hannspree Ten Kate Honda) i Eugene Laverty (Parkalgar Honda), čini se da Sofuoglu ima blagu prednost, međutim Laverty je gladan titule, sledeće godine prelazi u Superbike i sigurno je da želi da se oprosti titulom koja mu je i prošle godine za malo izmakla. U Superstocku 1000 je sve već uveliko rešeno. Međutim, Ayrton Badovini ima jedinstvenu priliku da napravi rekord od deset pobeda u deset rundi. Najveća pretnja će mu sigurno doći od drugoplasiranog u generalnom plasmanu, Maxime Bergera, kojem je ovo domaća runda.

Tri fabrička Kawasakia u 2011 Dok čeka vesti o oporavku Chrisa Vermeulena i Joana Lascorza, Kawasaki bi trebalo da ima i neki rezervni plan, zato što je Chris propustio skoro celu sezonu zbog povrede, a Joan ipak prelazi iz niže klase i sigurno će mu trebati neko vreme da se privikne na snažniju mašinu. Sa druge potpuno spreman Tom Sykes je privukao pažnju na sebe odličnom vožnjom u Imoli i Kawasaki jednostvno mora da ga spreči da pređe u neki drugi tim, prenosi GPOne. Kawasaki i Team PBM razmtraju mogućnost o trećem fabričkom motoru ili mogućnosti da se ili Sykes ili Lascorz na fabrički podržanom motoru nađu u nekom satelitskom timu. Sykes je ovog vikenda viđen da pregovara sa Ten Kate timom za koji vozi njegov prijatelj Jonathan Rea.

Cal Crutchlow u MotoGP-u pre kraja sezone? Italijanski GPOne prenosi da je Yamaha konačno uspela da ubedi Engleza da učestvuje u MotoGP-u ove sezone. Međutim, njegovo učešće u GP-u ove seyone najviše zavisi od odluke da li će Valentino Rossi otići na operaciju ramena ili ne. Ukoliko se to desi, Cal bi mogao bez ikakvog pritiska da po;ne da se privikava na Yamahinu MotoGP mašinu i Bridgestone pneumatike. GPOne dalje navodi kako bi Cal mogao da počne da se takmiči već od Sepanga pa do kraja sezone.

Rea povređen Honda Racing sajt nas informiše da se vozač Hannspree Ten Kate Honde, Jonathan Rea, povredio ozbiljnije u Imoli. Rea je doživeo pad za vreme superpola, u vlažnim uslovima, i delimično povredio ključnu kost i zglob. Traži se medicinsko rešenje da učestvuje na finalnoj rundi sezone ali ostaje nepoznanica da li će se to desiti.

Capirossi spreman za Motegi Italijan Loris Capirossi je dobio dozvolu da se vrati trkanju i učestvovaće na GP-u Japana koji će se održati na Hondinom Twin Ring Motegiu, prenosi MCN. Loris se povredio za vreme GP-a u San Marinu prilikom sudara sa Nicky Haydenom i na savet specijalista se oporavljao i propustio GP Aragona. Capirossi je imao operaciju koja je trajala 90 minuta na malom prstu desne ruke i po oporavku je proglašen spremnim za trkanje.

Leon Haslam oslobođen ugovora sa Asltareom Worldsbk.com objavljuje da je Leon Haslam oslobođen ugovora sa Team Asltare. Ovom objavom se sve više potvrđuje priča da je Leon Haslam već sve dogovorio sa BMW-om i sada je samo pitanje vremena kada će i zvanično saopštenje biti objavljeno. Tim koji vodi Francis Batta je proteklih šest nedelja u neduomici kada je u pitanju njihova budućnost uprkos uspešnoj sezoni. Razlozi za ovu situaciju su nedostatak sponzora i podrške od Suzukievog centra u Japanu, Hamamatsu. Kako izveštavaju MCN i drugi sajtovi, nije samo Alstare u problemima. Trenutno se u Japanu razmatra i budućnost Suzukia u MotoGP-u i piše se da će Dornin izvrš. dir. Carmelo Ezpeleta otići u Japan početkom ove nedelje da se sretne sa vodećim ljudima Suzukia. Suzuki još nije objavio kolika će biti podrška MotoGP timu sledeće godine ali je skoro sigurno da neće napustiti Grand Prix pre isteka ugovora. Sadašnji ugovor sa Dornom ih obavezuje na učešće do kraja sezone 2011. MCN takođe piše da će Suzuki i Rizla prekinuti saradnju na kraju godine. Rizla ima ugovor o sponzorstvu sa Suzukiem do 2011 ali će obe strane sporazumno prekinuti saradnju ranije.

The agreement, recently renewed, will see the continuation of the Spanish rider’s collaboration with the Italian team, captained by Genesio Bevilacqua, for the next two seasons. With Checa on board, Team Althea Racing will attack the world championship, strengthened by both the experience gained during the current season and the relationship, one of reciprocal trust, built up between the team and Ducati. Bevilacqua, a big fan of Borgo-Panigale’s “red” machine had accepted the challenge for 2011, and is aware of the potential of the 1198. “Thanks to the two year agreement signed with Checa and to Ducati for the precious support, we will strive to achieve great things”, said Bevilacqua. “Carlos will help to develop the Italian manufacturer’s racing activity and I am sure that we will make a good job of it. Carlos has already found the perfect mental balance so as to be able to get the best out of this bike and the team and therefore I have every confidence with regard to the future.” Shane Byrne’s collaboration with the team will, on the other end, come to an end at the end of this season. “We have had a great relationship with Shane but unfortunately the economics of the situation will not allow us to continue to work with him. We do not however exclude the possibility of running a second bike.” Having defined its plans with regard to Superbike, the team turns its attention to a new venture: Team Althea Racing will debut in the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup. Bevilacqua considers it to be a top level championship which can provide young talents with the necessary training to be able to progress to the higher classes. It is for this reason that the Italian team, based in Civita Castellana, will debut in the Superstock class with the Ducati 1198 in 2011. Promising Italian youngster, 20-year old Lorenzo Baroni, will be entrusted with riding the bike. Having ridden in the 125 category until 2006, Baroni has participated in Superstock 1000 since 2007 and is considered one of the category’s “experts”. Althea Racing and Bevilacqua have followed the young rider’s progress with interest and, convinced that he can be successful in 2011, have decided to bet on his character, talent and ambition. Baroni has the potential to be one of the protagonists of the championship. “This decision is the result of a specific strategy”, concludes Bevilacqua. “As well as challenging in the World Superbike Championship, we will also concentrate on identifying and developing new talents in a category that provides riders with great training. My challenge for the coming year, only possible thanks to the support of partners Stevenson & Bridley Associates and Bellariva Group, will be to draw out Lorenzo’s full potential, guaranteeing maximum support from both a sporting and technical standpoint, with a view to launching him in the Superbike category in the future.”

Ceo vikend je mi je bio odličan zahvaljujući WSBK. Supersport je opet bio odličan. Kakav finiš Drago mi je za Toma Sykesa i Kawasaki, a pogotovo za Maxa Biaggia. Bravo.
