  1. Pramac’s future as a Ducati satellite team is reportedly not guaranteed. Top bosses at Pramac have held talks with KTM and Yamaha about moving their project across, Motorsport report. Pramac have an exit clause in their contract with Ducati which would allow them to quit, and join a rival manufacturer in 2025.
  3. Both of Marquez’s two previous falls this weekend appeared to have been related to the ride-height device, most notably his fast qualifying accident when Marquez pushed the ride-height button too early in the final corner. The Ducati system can be ‘booked’ before the corner where it is needed, but only if a rider does not then apply any more throttle until the exit. That’s because the device is thought to be linked to the front wheel suspension, which extends when a rider accelerates, triggering the ‘drop’. The fast nature of the final corner, and the fact Marquez was on an out-lap, meant he then took weight off the front as he 'rolled' to the apex, causing the rear to lower before the exit. The eight-time world champion made some hand gestures as he was walking away from the gravel this morning suggesting the ride-height device might have again played a part in his latest accident. The ride-height device is deployed twice at Portimao; onto the main straight and then the shorter back straight after Turn 4. In other words, the entry to Turn 3 would have been too early to ‘book’ the device, but Marquez could simply have accidentally pressed the ride-height button, or had some issue with his bike returning to normal height at Turn 1.

  8. Bridgestone Battlax T 32 Weight: front 4.44 kg, rear 6.83 kg Country of manufacture: Japan Information/releases: Bridgestone Germany, Tel. 061 72/408173, www.bridgestone.de EVALUATION Country road/everyday life: When new, the T 32 drives very balanced. The straight-line stability is exemplary. The handiness is not too agile and is behind the Dunlop and Michelin. When turning in an inclined position, it impresses with good steering precision. As wear increases, neutrality suffers and the front tire requires ever-increasing counter-steering forces when leaning. Wet test: The high level of wear is a disadvantage In terms of wet performance, especially at medium lean angles (around 20 degrees in the heavily worn shoulder area), the remaining tread depth is so small that the T 32 lacks feedback for grip in this area. Wear: The wide tread grooves promote wear the profile reduction through correspondingly higher flexing movements. The front tire suffers in the shoulder area, particularly when braking in curves. There the T 32 wears almost up to the legal limit of 1.6 millimeters. Conclusion: When new, the T 32 impresses with its balanced driving behavior and very good straight-line stability. However, the wear and tear, especially on the front wheel, bothers him more than the competition. MOTORRAD verdict: satisfactory Continental RoadAttack 4 GT Weight: front 4.7 kg, rear 7.0 kg Country of manufacture: Germany Info/releases: Continental, Tel. 05 11/93801, www.conti-moto.de EVALUATION Country road/everyday life: Unlike its competitors, Conti does not use various rubber compounds. With "Tractionskin", a surface that is already roughened on the new tire, there is plenty of grip from the first few meters. The Conti steers very slowly in an inclined position. This does not noticeably increase with increasing wear. It has a noticeable righting moment when braking. Wet test: The Conti achieves very good values on the brakes. Due to the slightly sluggish handling, it wants to be driven on a wider line. A good-natured border area announces the limit; in an inclined position, it loses grip earlier than the competition. Wear: The Conti wears very balanced front and rear tires. Overall, he is still slightly behind the competitors. What is positive is that the driving characteristics have hardly changed compared to when it was new. Conclusion: The RoadAttack 4 GT is a sporty tire with slower steering behavior and good straight-line stability. Wear, handling and wet grip are average, but braking distances in wet conditions are very good. MOTORRAD verdict: good Dunlop Roadsmart IV GT Weight: front 4.3 kg, rear 7.1 kg Country of manufacture: France Information/releases: Goodyear Dunlop Tires, Tel. 06181/6801, www.dunlop.de EVALUATION Country road/everyday life: The special distinguishing feature of the Dunlop is its very light-footed handling. Even though, according to Dunlop, the contours have been somewhat softened compared to its predecessor, the Roadsmart III, it remains the handiest in the field. Sporty pilots will be impressed by the good grip and the good feedback at faster speeds. Low righting moment when braking. Wet test: Rich grip in the wet combined with light-footed handling results in good lap times in the wet test. The limit area is announced early, the traction is above average and makes it an easy-to-assess tire in bad weather. Wear: It wears on average, but very homogeneous front and back. The profile removal does not harm the handling, in a direct comparison it remains ahead of the competition in this discipline even at the end of the wear journey. Conclusion: The Dunlop is the most agile tire in the test, which helps unwieldy vehicles, but can seem wobbly on maneuverable vehicles. In everyday life it impresses with good wet grip and good feedback. MOTORRAD verdict: very good Metzeler Roadtec 02 Weight: front 4.32 kg, rear 7.02 kg Country of manufacture: Germany Information/releases: Pirelli Germany, Tel 089/14908302, www.metzelermoto.de EVALUATION Country road/everyday life: The Roadtec 02 is the only new product for 2024 and actually wants to be a super sports touring tire. At normal to fast speeds, it drives more sluggishly than its competitors, but it rewards sporty driving with good feedback and grip as well as good straight-line stability. However, this comes at the expense of handiness. Noticeable righting moment when braking. Wet test: The Metzeler Roadtec 02 delivers on the wet handling route. Although he also wants to go a wider arc, he offers very good wet grip and a wide limit range. And: It achieves the shortest braking distance. Wear and tear: The Metzeler wears slightly above average, so it cannot stand out from the competition. The changes in driving characteristics from new to used remain manageable and make the Roadtec 02 a reliable companion. Conclusion: A tire with good straight-line stability. Very sporty drivers in particular will be able to explore its advantages. The wet grip is great. In everyday life, however, the sluggish handling is a bit annoying. MOTORRAD verdict: good Michelin Road 6 GT MOTORCYCLE TEST winner Weight: front 4.54 kg, rear 6.29 kg Country of manufacture: Spain Information/releases: Michelin Relfenwerke, Tel 0800/0111181, motorrad.michelin.de EVALUATION Country road/everyday life: The Road 6 GT is particularly impressive because of its crystal-clear feedback on grip. It steers very easily and remains very neutral over the entire lean angle range. It remains transparent even at deeper inclines. The good internal damping provides a good feeling of contact with the road. Even in cooler temperatures, it provides the best feedback in a direct comparison. Wet test: The Road 6 GT feels very comfortable here too. Good grip and feedback as well as good handling allow the Michelin to circle the wet track very quickly. In particular, the very good traction when accelerating gives it slight advantages. Wear: The least wear on the front These tires and low wear on the rear rim result in the lowest overall wear for the Michelin. Its function is not greatly compromised by the dwindling profile - very good. Conclusion: The lowest wear, the fastest lap time in the wet and rich feedback on dry roads, the Road 6 GT is a weakness in this discipline. The test victory goes to the most successful point collector. MOTORRAD verdict: very good Pirelli Angel GT II Weight: front 4.32 kg, rear 7.06 kg Country of manufacture: Germany Information/releases: Pirelli Germany, Tel. 089/14908302, www.pirelli.com EVALUATION Country road/everyday life: If you want to drive very sportily, you should choose the Pirelli Angel GT II. Although it doesn't steer as agilely or as willingly as Michelin or Dunlop, it impresses with its high level of cornering stability over the entire lean angle range and neutral steering behavior. Easily brought to temperature, it provides crystal-clear feedback on adhesion. Wet test: The sporty Angel GT II shows no weakness when it comes to wet conditions. It achieves good to very good values in all test criteria, whether in cornering speed, braking measurement or traction. The border area is very good-natured and announces the detention limit in a timely manner. Wear and tear: The Pirelli can not only be fast, but also long. With very good wear values on the front and rear tires, it takes second place in this rating category. Proof that fast rubber can now last for a long time. Conclusion: The Pirelli Angel GT II is a recommendation for sporty pilots. It not only works on dry country roads, but also in mixed conditions, coupled with very good wear behavior. MOTORRAD verdict: very good

  11. Teško, Honda-Yamaha tih godina = prednost Yamaha ili možda egal. Ducati-Yamaha = prednost Yamaha. Gde je bio Kapireks te godine?
