All indications are that the KTM X-Bow will soon equip the five-cylinder  2.5 liter turbo source Audi. That is, the same engine as in the Audi  RS3 and Audi TT RS.  
  
The little beast Austrian manufacturer has  so far used the 4-cylinder 2.0 liter turbocharged VAG group with a  maximum power of 300 hp.  
  
Right now, KTM is working on a variant of the 5-cylinder equipped 340 hp. 
  
“Audi  proposes the five cylinder. In competition, we have thought to use it  in some specific races. Engine is very compact and it fits perfectly in  our chassis extending a little battle.  
  
Prototypes also have some gearbox with double clutch” said Stefan Pierer, CEO of the brand,  
  
in  the last Geneva Motor Show the magazine EVO occasion of the  presentation of the KTM X-Bow GT. As KTM street and racing are almost  identical,  
  
if the competition gets finally the 5-cylinder, there is no doubt that there will be a street version as well.
