  1. “I didn’t understand his crash at all,” Neil Hodgson analysed. “It was weird. He crashed really early. He clearly had an issue with his brake. “A couple of his moves, I don’t think he wanted. “But if you’ve got a slight front brake issue, if the lever isn’t quite where you want it to be, then that can cause that. “He will be relatively happy. He now knows why he has crashed. “And that’s in the past. There are lots of positives. “At the time he was leading the race. He was the top Ducati on the old bike. “You know what Marc is like - he’ll extract every positive from that incident.”
  2. “I was struggling a lot with the front brakes. For that reason, I said ‘OK, try to lead the race and let's see if it improves’. But when I arrived at Turn 11, I again had that bad feeling and needed to brake 3-4 times. “That’s why I increased the speed and lost the front. But apart from that, the feeling during all the weekend was good. We keep improving, In the warm up we did a change that also was helping me, so I’m happy.”

  5. Michelin takes its new compounds to COTA ‘which creates some unknowns’ 'We are bringing our new rubber compounds this year, which creates some unknowns' Michelin’s new 2024 MotoGP compounds will take on the challenge of COTA this weekend, where they will face the usual bumps and grip variations, as well as the latest surface modifications. The unstable COTA subsoil means there has again been a partial resurfacing ahead of this year’s Grand Prix, with new asphalt reported at turns 2, 9-11, 12 and 16-19.
  10. VR46 has ‘already rejected’ Yamaha’s offer to become its new satellite MotoGP team for 2025, ‘generating surprise and disappointment’ among Lin Jarvis and the Japanese leaders. That’s according to a report on SkySports.it which adds that Valentino Rossi’s team is now set to forge closer links with Ducati - and potentially take over the ‘official satellite’ status currently enjoyed by Pramac.

  13. Pierer Mobility Group, the parent company of KTM, have now become the majority shareholder in MV Agusta. They have acquired a 50.1% stake in the historic brand, adding them to a portfolio which includes KTM, Husqvarna and GASGAS. Could a sensational prediction pitting Marc Marquez on an MV Agusta have crept one step closer?
  14. 12 milki i to godišnje za statiranje u šampionatu, takva nepristojna ponuda se teško odbija.
  15. Pramac’s future as a Ducati satellite team is reportedly not guaranteed. Top bosses at Pramac have held talks with KTM and Yamaha about moving their project across, Motorsport report. Pramac have an exit clause in their contract with Ducati which would allow them to quit, and join a rival manufacturer in 2025.

  18. Both of Marquez’s two previous falls this weekend appeared to have been related to the ride-height device, most notably his fast qualifying accident when Marquez pushed the ride-height button too early in the final corner. The Ducati system can be ‘booked’ before the corner where it is needed, but only if a rider does not then apply any more throttle until the exit. That’s because the device is thought to be linked to the front wheel suspension, which extends when a rider accelerates, triggering the ‘drop’. The fast nature of the final corner, and the fact Marquez was on an out-lap, meant he then took weight off the front as he 'rolled' to the apex, causing the rear to lower before the exit. The eight-time world champion made some hand gestures as he was walking away from the gravel this morning suggesting the ride-height device might have again played a part in his latest accident. The ride-height device is deployed twice at Portimao; onto the main straight and then the shorter back straight after Turn 4. In other words, the entry to Turn 3 would have been too early to ‘book’ the device, but Marquez could simply have accidentally pressed the ride-height button, or had some issue with his bike returning to normal height at Turn 1.
  19. Imam i ja nešto za tebe, ako ti bude odgovaralo da nabudžiš. Nastavljamo na PP...
